Earl DaMoudeFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 23, 1992 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Earl DaMoude Earl C. DaMoude, the son of George and Inez (Welch) DaMoude, was born near rural Aurora, Nebraska, on May 19, 1915, and died at Grand Island, Nebraska, on June 19, 1992, at the age of 77 years and 1 month. He grew up in Hamilton County, and attended Aurora Schools. As a young man, he worked at several jobs to help support the family. On April 12, 1942, he was united in marriage to Alice Senff, at her parents home in Aurora. She preceded him in death on October 1, 1991. In 1942, he began farming on his own, and settled on a farm south of Hordville, that he farmed for 47 years. He loved working outdoors on the farm, and with his animals. He was a caring neighbor. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice, 3 brothers, Gerald, Arlie, and an infant Lyle. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son, Leonard and his wife LaVerna of Hordville; 2 daughters, Bonnie Kruse and her husband Roger, and Nancy Keasling and her husband Chuck, all of Aurora; 3 brothers, Claude of Lincoln, Dean of Crete, and Eldon of Cedar Ridge, Colorado, 1 sister, DeVona O’Brien of Longmont, Colorado, 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild. |
