Bernard DanhauerFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 1, 1993 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Bernard Danhauer Bernard Elza Danhauer, the son of Delbert E. and Ellen (Lindblom) Danhauer, was born at Marquette, Nebraska, on February 2, 1920, and died at his home in Aurora, Nebraska, on August 29, 1993, at the age of 73 years, 6 months, and 27 days. He grew up near Marquette, attended Marquette Schools, and graduated from Marquette High School. On February 16, 1939 he was united in marriage to Stella Andersen at Aurora. They rented a farm in the Marquette area for 4 years, and then purchased a farm, where he farmed until 1985, when they retired and moved into Aurora. Bernard was a member of the Marquette United Methodist Church. He also served as Director of School District #100, and served on the Hamilton County School Redistricting Board. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Delbert and Gilbert; 3 sisters, Ida Larsen, Kate Larsen, and Hazel Ashelford, and a great grandson Taylor J. Engle. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Stella of Aurora; 2 sons, Larry and Loren, both of Lincoln; 3 daughters, Donna Rae Gondolfi, Colleen Engle, and Jeanette Monk, all of Lincoln; one brother, Ellsworth of Aurora; one sister Margaret Berck of Marquette; 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Bernard’s family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. |
