Delbert DanhauerFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 15, 1988 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Delbert Danhauer Delbert David Danhauer, the son of Delbert and Ellen (Lindbloom) Danhauer, was born August 12, 1906, at Marquette, Nebraska, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 12, 1988, at the age of 81 years and 8 months. He grew up in the Marquette area, where he attended country schools. He helped his parents on their farm, and later began his own farming operation. On June 26, 1933, he was united in marriage to Leona Larson, at McCook, Nebraska. In 1976, they retired from farming and moved into their present home in Aurora. Delbert was a member of the Marquette United Methodist Church, and was a past board member of the Marquette Co-Op Elevator, and worked as a volunteer at the Plainsman Museum in Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Ida Larsen, Kate Larsen and Hazel Ashleford. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Leona; 2 sons, Kenneth and Donald, both of Marquette; one daughter Sharon Hansen of Aurora; a nephew La Moyne Danhauer, who made his home with Delbert and Leona as he grew to manhood; 3 brothers, Gilbert of Grand Island, and Ellsworth and Bernard, both of Aurora; one sister Margaret Berck of Marquette; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. |
