Ellsworth Danhauer

Ellsworth Danhauer, age 91, formerly of Aurora, died Monday evening, June 16, 2003, at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, June 20th at the United Methodist Church in Aurora. Rev. Brian Kottas will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. OBITUARY: ELLSWORTH DANHAUER

Ellsworth William Danhauer, the son of Delbert E. and Ellen (Lindbloom) Danhauer, was born in Marquette, Nebraska on February 8, 1912 and died in Central City, Nebraska on June 16, 2003, at the age of 91.

He grew up on the family farm north of Marquette. Ellsworth attended country school and graduated from Marquette High School. After high school he helped his father on the farm.

Ellsworth was united in marriage to Violet Sandberg on March 11, 1937 at the United Brethern Church in York. They moved to a farm northwest of Aurora until they purchased a farm northeast of Marquette. They farmed this and a quarter nearby until 1980, when they retired and moved into Aurora.

Ellsworth was a member of the United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Delbert, Gilbert and Bernard Danhauer and three sisters, Ida Larsen, Kate Larsen and Hazel Ashelford.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Violet of Central City; two sons, Dorland Danhauer and his wife Flora of Des Moines, Iowa and Jerald Danhauer and his wife Janet of Central City; daughter, Sondra Lofland of Grand Island; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Margaret Berck of Marquette.
