Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 10, 1983 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Alma I. Daniel

Alma I. Daniel, the daughter of Andrew and Sarah (Harter) Grosshans, was born at Sutton, Nebraska on September 10, 1893, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 8, 1983, at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 28 days.

She graduated from Aurora High School in 1912 and graduated from Doane College in 1917. She taught and served as principal of the Crete High School.

On August 1, 1923, she was united in marriage to Edward Daniel at Aurora, Nebraska.

Alma was a member of the Aurora Federated Church, PEO, the American Legion Auxiliary and Mysotis.

Her parents and husband had preceded her in death.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Edward G. Daniel and daughter-in-law Louise A. Daniel of Aurora; granddaughters, Allison Petersen of DeWitt, Nebraska, Jane Awford of Papua, New Guinea and grandson Edward A. Daniel of Crete, Nebraska; great-grandchildren Daniel Petersen and Megan Petersen of DeWitt, Nebraska and Nicola Awford of Papua, New Guinea; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Stevens of Aurora and Mrs. Walter Lauritsen of Grand Island and other relatives and close friends.
