Myrtle Danielson

Myrtle F. Danielson, age 97, of Aurora died Sunday evening, February 20, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday at the Presbyterian U.C.C. in Aurora. Rev. Cathy Allen and Rev. Monty Nelson will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Thursday at Higby Mortuary.

OBITUARY: MYRTLE F. DANIELSON

Myrtle Frances Danielson, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Larsen) Anderson, was born in Hampton, Nebraska on January 8, 1903 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on February 20, 2000, at the age of 97 years, 1 month and 12 days.

She grew up in Hamilton County, where she attended School District #51. Myrtle attended high school in Aurora.

She was united in marriage to David W. Danielson on February 24, 1921 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They lived in Lincoln for one year following their marriage and spent the rest of their married life farming in Hamilton County. David passed away in August 1967.

Myrtle was a 61 year member of the Presbyterian U.C.C., where she was involved with Ladies Aid. She was a long time member of H.E.O. Club and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed teaching younger children music and crocheting. Myrtle enjoyed gardening, bird watching and loved to be a good host to all her neighbors and family.

Her parents, husband, two sisters, Bessie Meguire and Mabel Matson, and one brother, Harlan Anderson preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son Dr. D. Murray Danielson of North Platte; three grandchildren, Gene and his wife Leslie of Missouri City, Texas, Dr. Alan of North Platte, Dr. Kent of Vicksburg, Mississippi; four great-grandchildren, Brian, Caryn, Stephen and Nathan of Missouri City, Texas; nephew Stanley Anderson of Hampton; and one niece Colleen Harshfield of Loveland, Colorado.
