Viola DanielsonFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 7, 1998 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Viola Danielson Viola May Danielson, the daughter of Charles and Nina (Monroe) Guilford, was born at Loup City, Nebraska, on July 5, 1904, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on October 3, 1998, at the age of 94 years, 2 months, and 28 days. She lived in Loup City and Cortetz, Colorado, until age 6, when the family returned to Nebraska in a covered wagon from Colorado, and she attended school at Marquette and graduated from Marquette High School in 1922. She taught schools in the Marquette area for 7 years. On September 12, 1930, she was united in marriage to Joseph Danielson, at Mankato, Kansas. They farmed north of Aurora for 13 years, before they moved to a farm northwest of Aurora, in 1946. In 1960, they retired and moved into Aurora. She was employed at the Hamilton Manor for 7 years. On January 23, 1995, she entered the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Joe preceded her in death on July 2, 1976. She was baptized in 1912, and confirmed in 1916, at the United Brethren Church in Marquette. She was a member of the United Brethren Church and the United Methodist Church for 82 years. She also belonged to the Dorcas Circle, and the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Joan Moore, 3 brothers, one sister, three infant siblings, and one great grandson. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Deryl and his wife Delores of Phillips; a daughter Lois Friesen and her husband Gene of Waverly; a son-in-law Lloyd Moore of Aurora, 12 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. |
