Nina Darbro

Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 18, 1991 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Nina Darbro

Nina Mae Darbro, the daughter of Clark and Frances (Boehm) Lawrence, was born at Woodward, Oklahoma, on July 20, 1920, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 15, 1991, at the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 25 days.

She grew up in Woodward, and received her education in the Woodward schools, graduating with the class of 1938. She then attended Oklahoma College for Women, Oklahoma A & M, and Draughn Business School.

On December 29, 1945, she was united in marriage to Will G. Darbro, Jr. at Liberal, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1986.

After their marriage they lived in Woodward, Oklahoma; Alva, Oklahoma; Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; Wichita, Kansas; and in 1958, they moved to Aurora, where she has since resided.

Nina was a member of the Aurora United Presbyterian Church, and was a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She also belonged to several local bridge clubs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant daughter, Frances Anne, and one sister, Jane Jameson.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Michael and Thomas of Aurora, and Patrick of Bozeman, Montana. A step-son Will, III, of Chicago; a brother, Clark Lawrence, Jr. of Woodward, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Marguerite Smith of Terlingua, Texas, and Alice Klick of Crested Butte, Colorado; 6 grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
