Will G. Darbro, Jr.

Funeral Services were held 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, July 1, 1986 at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Will G. Darbro, Jr.

Will G. Darbro, Jr., the son of Will and Clara Suella (Williams) Darbro, was born at Helena, Oklahoma, on May 29, 1919, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 28, 1986, at the age of 67 years and 29 days.

He grew up and received his education at Woodward, Oklahoma and graduated form high school there.

On July 17, 1940, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country until his discharge on October 13, 1945.

On December 29, 1945, he was united in marriage to Nina Lawrence, at Liberal, Kansas.

He worked in Woodward, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company until 1951. At that time the family lived in North Carolina, Georgia and Oklahoma. In January of 1958 they moved to Aurora, where Bill worked as a pest control operator until he retired in 1985.

Bill was a member of the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ and also was a member of the Masons, Elks, V.F.W., American Legion, and was an active member of the Aurora Country Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Nina; 4 sons, Will the 3rd of Park Forest, Illinois, Mike and Tom of Aurora, and Pat of Las Vegas, New Mexico; 5 grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends.
