Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 24, 1988 at the Marquette United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Donald A. Davis

Donald Arnold Davis, the son of Roscoe and Dessie (Arnold) Davis, was born at Livonia, Indiana, on August 18, 1906, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 22, 1988, at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 4 days.

His early childhood was spent in Livonia, Indiana, and on March 1, 1917, he moved to Giltner.

On September 2, 1934, he was united in marriage to Mary Janssen, at Polk, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on May 2, 1969.

On October 25, 1970, he married Bertha (Eckert) Larson at Aurora.

He farmed near Giltner until 1973, when he retired and moved to their farm near Aurora.

Don was a member of the Marquette United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Mary.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Bertha; 4 step-sons, Warren, William, Robert and Steve all of Aurora; 3 daughters Doris Lynch of Rochester, New York and Judy Crosby of San Antonio, Texas, a step-daughter, Susan Salmon of Grand Island; a step-daughter-in-law Louella Larson of Marquette; 31 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and cousins and friends.
