Funeral Services were held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 31, 1998 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Elm Creek Cemetery in Elm Creek, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Carroll Deaver

Carroll June Deaver, the daughter of Rufy and Grace (Martin) Price, was born at Elm Creek, Nebraska, on August 15, 1910, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on October 26, 1998, at the age of 88 years, 2 months, and 11 days.

She grew up and received her education at Elm Creek, where she played for silent movies, and took in ironing.

On March 22, 1930, she was united in marriage to Waldo Reinert Deaver, at Lexington, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1975.

They lived in Kearney, where she was employed at the Kearney Public Schools as a cook. In 1987, she moved to the Hamilton Manor in Aurora, where she has since resided.

She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Kearney, and had been active in PTA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Willadean Dodson; a step-daughter Betty June, whom she raised; 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son James R. Deaver of West Point; one daughter Deldee Jo Brown of Lincoln; one brother Marvel Price of Houston, Texas, one sister Peggy McAdams of Gothenburg; 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
