Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 1, 1996 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Rose Marie Derr

Rose Marie “Toni” Derr, the daughter of Anton and Albina (Sevcik) Batorski, was born at Omaha, Nebraska, on August 15, 1926, and died at her home in McCool Junction, Nebraska, on April 26, 1996, at the age of 69 years, 8 months, and 11 days.

She grew up and received her education in St. Paul, and graduated with the class of 1944.

On July 13, 1946, she was united in marriage to Eugene Derr, at Smith Center, Kansas. He was a truck driver, and they lived in Aurora, and Broken Bow, where she was employed at the Sand Hills Manor, and Grand Island, where she worked at the Lebensraum Retirement Home, until her retirement. Eugene preceded her in death on January 20, 1995. Following his death she moved to McCool Junction, where she has since resided.

“Toni” was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Broken Bow.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her four sons, Dennis of Palillion, Ronald of McCook, Terrance of Saratoga, Arkansas, and David of York; two daughters, Patricia Daughterty of Merna, and Kathleen Patterson of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters, Doris Lassen of Elba, and Charlotte Manchester of Ord, and 11 grandchildren.
