Phylis 'Maxine' Dick
Maxine Dick, age 75, of Aurora, died Friday morning, November 22, 2002, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 25th at the United Methodist Church in Aurora. Rev. Brian Kottas will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Sunday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church Dorcas Circle or Parish Nurse Fund. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: PHYLIS 'MAXINE' DICK Phylis Maxine Dick, the daughter of Leo J. and Ida D. (Larson) Heil, was born on the farm northwest of Rockville, Nebraska on April 24, 1927 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on November 22, 2002, at the age of 75. Maxine attended School District 29 through the 8th grade and graduated from Loup City High School in 1944. After graduation, she went to work for the Giltner Telephone Company. Maxine was united in marriage to Edward G. Dick on December 31, 1953 at Aurora. Ed worked as an electrician and over his career they lived in Ainsworth, Osceola and Kearney before settling back in Aurora. Maxine worked for the Hamilton Telephone Company for many years until she retired. Ed passed away on May 5, 1996. Maxine was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and the Dorcas Circle. She was also a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Maxine loved to quilt, sew and spend time with her granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ed Dick and his wife Jan of Aurora and Mike Dick of Alda; 4 grandchildren, Lindsay Marie Dick, Lacey Lee Dick, Katie Lin Dick and Jamie Lee Dick; four brothers, John Heil and his wife Betty of Loup City, Wilbur Heil and his wife Judy Lee of Rockville, Marvin Heil and his wife Carolyn and Lloyd Heil and his wife Judy all of Loup City and several nieces and nephews. |
