Iris 'June' Dieckman

June Dieckman, age 80, of Aurora died Wednesday morning, April 9, 2003, at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, April 11th at Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Jim Garfield will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Memorials may be made to the Assembly of God Church or the Hamilton Co. Cancer Fund. OBITUARY: IRIS 'JUNE' DIECKMAN

Iris June Dieckman, the daughter of Doc Felton and Annie (Allen) Posey, was born in Bremen, Georgia on December 29, 1922 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on April 9, 2003, at the age of 80.

She grew up in Alabama. After graduating from high school, June helped in the war effort by working at a munitions factory in Anniston, Alabama.

June was united in marriage to Burnard Graham on September 20, 1944, at Buchanan, Georgia. There were six children born to this union. Burnard passed away on January 19, 1966.

June was united in marriage to Harold Dieckman in 1974. Harold passed away in 1987. June was director of the Aurora Senior Center until her retirement.

June was a member of the Assembly of God Church and the V.F.W Auxiliary. She liked making crafts, going to craft and hobby shows and traveling, but she enjoyed her family most of all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Burnard Graham and Harold Dieckman, a grandson, Jonathan Graham, a great granddaughter, Katie Bailey, one brother and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Flora (Dorland) Danhauer of DesMoines, Iowa, Bill (Barbara) Graham of Aurora, Peg (Doug) Salmon of Omaha, Don (Louise) Graham of Aurora, Ed Graham of Windsor, Colorado, Larry (Jackie) Graham of Lincoln, Marilyn Jean (Duane) Gibson of Mission, Texas and Larry (Jeanette) Dieckman of Chicago, Illinois; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mrs. Meldona Bryan of Boaz, Alabama.
