LaRue DieckmannMemorial Services were held 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, October 29, 1991 at Higby Mortuary. Inurnment was held in the Harvard Cemetery. OBITUARY: LaRue Dieckmann LaRue Merlin Dieckmann, the son of Albert and Thelma (Paulus) Dieckmann, was born near Trumbull, Nebraska, on August 7, 1935, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on October 26, 1991, at the age of 56 years, 2 months, and 19 days. He attended Clay County grade schools, and Harvard High School. Later, he worked in Hastings, and in 1967 he moved to Aurora, where he was employed as a custodian for the American Legion and Bonnavilla Homes. LaRue was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. He enjoyed cars, and he worked in the “Pits” for a stock car crew. He was also an avid radio fan and enjoyed CB radios and listening to the police scanner. In 1979, he entered the Memorial Community Care Center at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora. He was preceded in death by his mother in October of 1935, and his grandparents. He is survived by his father, Albert Dieckmann of Aurora; 3 step-brothers, David of Douglas, Wyoming, Arthur of Lincoln, and Robert of Aurora; and a step-sister Dianne Nickolaus of South Sioux City. |
