Josephine Dreher

Josephine Dreher, age 94, of Aurora, died Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Memorial Community Care.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 1st at the Case Cemetery in Giltner. Rev. Monty Nelson will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: JOSEPHINE DREHER

Josephine Alice Dreher, the daughter of E.L. and Sarah Elizabeth (Hawthorne) Chaney, was born in Hyannis, Nebraska on April 10, 1913 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on September 27, 2007, at the age of 94.

She attended school in Giltner and Trumbull through the 10th grade.

On August 31, 1932 she was united in marriage to Edwin Dreher at Aurora. They resided in the Giltner community during their wedded life until his health failed and they moved to Aurora in September of 1950. Edwin passed away on December 29, 1975.

Josephine was a member of the First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son; two sons, Fred and Richard Dreher, infant grandson; a sister and step-mother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Harold R. (Phyllis) Dreher of Lincoln and James B. Dreher of York; daughter-in-law, Angie Dreher of Aurora; 4 grandchildren, Mary (Greg) Moore, Jenny (Ryan) Stuhmer, Tim (Katie) Dreher and Edwin Dreher; 6 great-grandchildren and half-sister, Erma Williamson of Fremont.
