Dwain Driewer
Dwain Driewer, age 79, of Hampton, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at Bryan/LGH West in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, April 6th at Zion Lutheran Church north of Hampton. Rev. Loren Cooper will officiate. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will from 4 -8 P.M. on Monday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. OBITUARY: DWAIN DRIEWER Dwain Lee Driewer, the son of Werner and Ruth (Isernhagen) Driewer, was born in Phillips County, near Agra, Kansas on August 21, 1930 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on April 2, 2010, at the age of 79. Dwain graduated from Hampton High School. He then entered the U.S. Army and served from 1951 to 1953, before being honorably discharged. On September 26, 1954, he was married to Bonna Jean Ham at the Methodist Church in Saronville, Nebraska. Dwain farmed his entire life east of Hampton. Dwain was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed flying and playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Kathy Hartnett in 2009. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bonna Jean of Hampton; four children, Debbie Albrecht of Omaha, Dennis (Wanda) Driewer of Hampton, Steve (Shari) Driewer of Cibolo, Texas and Scott (Brenda) Driewer of York; son-in-law, Ronnie Hartnett of Omaha; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He is also survived by a brother, Stuart (Cleo) Driewer of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; two sisters, Dolores (Jerry) Friesen and Joyce (Larry) Ediger all of Aurora; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Richard) VanGroningen of Sutton and Patsy (Don) Hemje of Syracuse and brother-in-law, Howard (Virginia) Ham of Kileen, Texas. |
