Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 12, 1990 at Zion Lutheran Church north of Hampton. Interment was held in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Erwin Driewer

Erwin “Pete” Gilbert Driewer, the son of John and Sophia (Klinker) Driewer, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on October 2, 1906, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 9, 1990, at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 7 days.

He attended school at Zion Lutheran Parochial through the 8th grade.

On April 15, 1934, he was united in marriage to Lucille Collett at the Zion Lutheran Church, north of Hampton. She preceded him in death on March 1, 1985.

“Pete” farmed his whole life until 1985. On March 13, 1989 he entered the Hamilton Manor Care Home in Aurora.

He was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church, and was an active member, holding offices as elder, head usher, trustee, and was a member of the Couples Club, and the Lutheran Laymans League.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother Clarence and one infant son.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his daughter, Marlyce Stoll of Grand Island; one brother Alton of Bradshaw, and 2 granddaughters, Sherri and Kathy Stoll.
