Lena Driewer

Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 31, 1987 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Lena Driewer

Lena Katherine Driewer, the daughter of Christian and Katherine (Bamesberger) Wall, was born at Wellfleet, Nebraska, on March 4, 1900, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 28, 1987, at the age of 87 years, 4 months, and 24 days.

She came to the Hampton area in 1908, with her parents and family, and resided in the Hampton area her entire lifetime.

On May 3, 1922, she married Carl Arndt. He preceded her in death in May 1946. On December 12, 1951, she was united in marriage to Ernest Driewer at Hampton. He passed away on June 18, 1981. Lena had resided at the Hamilton Manor since 1976.

She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, and was a member of the ladies aid and the Missionary Society. She had also been a member of the Hampton Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; three brothers, Herman, Edwin, and Otto Wall and one sister, Clara Hansen.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are one step-son, Lewis Driewer of Republican City; one step-daughter, Virginia Nuss of Aurora; 4 brothers, William Wall of Ocean Side, California, Walter Wall of Aurroa; Carl Wall of Hemit, California and Raymond “Kelley” Wall of North Platte. 4 sisters, Emma Fenster of Hampton, Dorothy Fenster of Broken Bow, Gertrude Miller of Hampton and Velma Sullivan of McLean, Virginia. 6 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
