Ruth Driewer

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 16, 1993 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Ruth Driewer

Ruth Marie Driewer, the daughter of William and Emma (Miller) Isernhagen, was born at Agra, Kansas, on September 14, 1905, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 13, 1993, at the age of 87 years, 4 months, and 29 days.

She grew up and received her education in the Agra area. She taught school in the Kansas area prior to her marriage and after her marriage she taught part time in the parochial schools in the Hampton area.

On January 19, 1928, she was united in marriage to Werner Driewer, of Hampton, at Agra, Kansas. From 1930 to 1935 they farmed near Agra, and then moved to a farm at Hampton. In 1954, they moved into Hampton. Werner preceded her in death on March 17, 1988.

Ruth was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and a longtime member of Zion Ladies Aid. She also taught Sunday School for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Hugo and Paul, and an infant sister Ella.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 sons and their wives, Stuart and Cleo of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, Dwain and Jean of Bradshaw; 2 daughters and their husbands, Dolores and Jerry Friesen of Aurora, and Joyce and Larry Ediger of Aurora; 14 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
