Edwin DvorakGraveside Services were held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 1989 at the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Edwin Dvorak Edwin Duain Dvorak, the son of Frank and Nettie (McArter) Dvorak, was born in Mead Township, Wisconsin, in Clark County, on July 30, 1922, and passed away at Grand Island, Nebraska, on February 23, 1989, at the age of 66 years, 6 months, and 23 days. The family moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa when he was 2 years old, where he grew up and attended Edgewood School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, from 1942 to 1945. On June 2, 1949, he was united in marriage to Darlene Bennett, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In 1951, they moved to Nebraska, and in 1970, they moved to Marquette. Edwin worked as a truck driver and diesel mechanic, and had worked for Wheeler Transportation until his health forced his retirement in 1961. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Frank. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Darlene, of Marquette; 3 sons, Richard of Grand Island, Randall of Kearney and Terence of Grand Island; one daughter Dareda Bannister of De Weese; one brother Louis of Fullerton, California; 2 sisters, Dorothy Prior of Westminster, California and Bertha Osborne of Marion, Iowa, and 14 grandchildren. |
