Elizabeth EdigerFuneral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 7, 1997 at Henderson Mennonite Brethren Church in Henderson, Nebraska. Interment was held in the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery in Henderson. OBITUARY: Elizabeth Ediger Elizabeth Ediger, the daughter of John P. and Katherina (Toews) Quiring, was born in York County, Nebraska, on November 27, 1902, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 4, 1997, at the age of 94 years, 11 months, and 7 days. She grew up in Hamilton County, Nebraska, where she attended School District #48, near Hampton, and later attended Tabor College at Hillsboro, Kansas. On October 9, 1921, she was united in marriage to John J. Ediger at Hampton, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on October 6, 1969. She lived in Hamilton County all her life, and for the past several years, she has resided in Aurora. Elizabeth was a member of the Henderson Mennonite Brethren Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter Lillian Winter; a granddaughter Judy Winter; a sister Tina Quiring; and 3 brothers, Jacob, Peter, and John Quiring. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 5 sons, Ed and his wife Esther of Hampton, Ben and his wife Mary, John and his wife Joan, and Larry and his wife Joyce all of Aurora, and Donald and his wife Lois of Lincoln; two daughters, Mary Ann Regier and her husband Art of Hampton, and Janice Simonson and her husband Robert of Omaha; one brother, Henry Quiring of Henderson; two sisters, Ann Dick of Henderson, and Helen Berg of Fresno, California; 21 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. |
