Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, February 25, 1985 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Mary Alta Eggert

Mrs. Eggert was born on May 26, 1896, in Hamilton County, to Thomas J. and Mary Emeline Stevenson Bailey.

On June 26, 1918, she was united in marriage to Merle H. Eggert, at Aurora. They began their married life at Hansen, Nebraska where Merle was employed in banking. Through the years they lived in several towns in Nebraska, then in March of 1932, they returned to Hamilton County to take up farming. In January of 1949 they retired from farming and moved to Aurora and have lived there since. From December of 1978 Alta has made her home in the Long Term Care facility of Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her husband Merle; one daughter, Mary Ellen Skinner of Aurora, one son, Robert Glenn Eggert of Newtown, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Eggert was preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother, sevens sisters and one granddaughter.
