Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 5, 1989 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Gerald Enderle

Gerald “Jerry” Edward Enderle, Sr., the son of Edward and Nellie (Johnson) Enderle, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on December 7, 1925, and passed away at Grand Island, Nebraska, on December 1, 1989, at the age of 63 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

He grew up and graduated from Hampton High School. He served his country during World War II, in the United States Navy from July 26, 1944, to June 8, 1946.

He worked in the sand and gravel business, and before he retired because of ill health he was employed by Knight Brothers of Columbus.

“Jerry” was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, and also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #378 at Grand Island, and the Hampton Legion Post #141.

He was preceded in death by his father, one son, and a grandson Chad Enderle.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his 3 sons, Charles of Hampton, Alan of Hubbard, Ohio and Douglas of Kearney; one daughter Deborah Duncan of Aurora; one brother Dwight Enderle of Lincoln; one sister Phyllis Zack of Reno, Nevada; his mother, Nellie Eskildsen of Hampton; 6 grandchildren, Lori Tournor; Alyssa Duncan, Heather, Heath, Broderick and Brandy Enderle.
