Troy Eppert

Troy Eppert, age 54, of Central City, died Sunday, November 22, 2009.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 25th at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island. Rev. Jocelyn Tupper will officiate. No Visitation. OBITUARY: TROY EPPERT

Troy Ervin Eppert, the son of Bill and Pat (Terry) Eppert, was born in Central City, Nebraska on May 5, 1955 and died in Central City, Nebraska on November 22, 2009, at the age of 54.

Troy grew up in Central City and moved to Grand Island at age 5. He graduated from Grand Island Senior in 1973 and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with an Agriculture Business degree in 1977.

Troy was united in marriage to Kari Cox on August 6, 1977. Troy actively participated in rodeos for several years. They settled in Grand Island. Troy and Kari trained racehorses in Nebraska for 12 years. They moved to Central City in 1996. Troy had a small cattle and horse operation, while working for Christensen Cattle Company.

Troy was very actively involved in all aspects of his children’s and his families’ life.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Kari Eppert of Central City; children, Trevor Eppert of Central City and Kirby Eppert of Stephenville, Texas; mother, Pat Eppert of Grand Island; sister, Marsha Eppert of Marshalltown, Iowa and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
