Myron Erb

Myron Erb, age 92, of Aurora, formerly of Giltner, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Hamilton Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, March 3rd at Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Revs. Rick Prettyman and Paul Nauman will officiate. Graveside services will be at the Giltner Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M., Sunday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. OBITUARY: MYRON ERB

Myron Wayne Erb, the son of Christian R. and Minnie (Cutts) Erb, was born three miles east of Giltner, Nebraska on November 8, 1915 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on February 29, 2008, at the age of 92.

He grew up in Giltner and graduated from Giltner High School in 1932.

Myron was united in marriage to Helen Mae Brown on September 5, 1943. They farmed northeast of Giltner and lived in the Giltner community until retirement, when in 1988 they moved to Aurora. Helen passed away on May 22, 2001.

Myron was a member of the Pleasant View Bible Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Gary Wayne Erb and his wife Betty of Big Lake, Minnesota; two daughters, Myra Helen Higgins and her husband Clayton of Giltner and Kay Arlene Miller and her husband Allen of Phoenix, Arizona; 8 grandchildren, Gara Erb, Chris (Nancy) Erb, Dion (Stacie) Higgins, Chad (Liz) Higgins, Darci (Jeff) Williamson, Michelle (Dirk) Kaechelein, Marci (Omar) Elkabchi and Robert (Crystal) Miller and 11 great-grandchildren, Brina and Erin Elkabchi, Chloe and Ellie Higgins, Riley and Rowan Erb, Danika and Kiera Kaechelein, Matthew and John Higgins and Chase Williamson.
