Carol Ernst

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 24, 1990 at the Aurora Christian Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Carol Ernst

Carol Norine Ernst, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Jacobs) Lewis, was born n Hamilton County, near Murphy, on September 15, 1921, and passed away at her home in Aurora, Nebraska, on November 21, 1990, at the age of 69 years, 2 months, and 6 days.

She attended district #64, and graduated form Aurora High School in 1939. After graduation she worked at the Soil Conservation Office and Safeway.

On February 16, 1947, she was united in marriage to Robert Ernst, at Fairbury, Nebraska. After her marriage, she worked for Judge Bengtson for several years, until she started raising her family. Later, she worked at the Aurora Medical Clinic, Aurora News Register and Village Square.

Carol was president of the Hospital Auxiliary for 5 years, and did volunteer work at the Hospital Thrift Shop. She was a 4-H leader, Den Mother, Scout Leader, and was a member of the Merry Janes Extension Club for 41 years.

In 1933 she was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Church in Aurora, and was a Sunday School teacher and belonged to the Church Circle.

She was a good mom, an avid sports fan, and made good rolls.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Verla Perry, and 2 grandsons, Justin and Jason Ernst.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Bob of Aurora; 3 sons, Dan of Gibbon, Joe of New Lennox, Illinois, and Tim of Hebron; 2 daughters, Carla A. Fetch of Marquette, and Ronda K. Kruger of Lexinton; 3 sisters, Wilma Gengebach of Madrid, Fay Williamsen and Roma Hoegh, both of Aurora and 7 grandchildren.
