Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, February 21, 1997 at Stockham Community Church. Interment was held in the Stockham Cemetery in Stockham, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Reid Evans

Reid Hazen Evans, the son of Harry and Maude (Upp) Evans, was born at Lockwood, Missouri on May 25, 1908, and died at his home at Stockham, Nebraska, on February 18, 1997, at the age of 88 years, 8 months, and 23 days.

He moved to Nebraska in 1918, and resided near Eldorado, graduated from Harvard High School, and in 1925 he moved to a farm northeast of Stockham.

On March 1, 1931, he was united in marriage to Verna Halstead at York. She preceded him in death on September 29, 1978. Following their marriage they lived northeat of Stockham, before moving into Stockham for a short time, and then to the farm east of Stockham, where he lived the rest of his life. He worked as a carpenter and farmed all his life.

Reid was a member of the Stockham Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother Ray.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his two sons, Larry of Stockham and Gary of Houston, Texas; one brother Jim of Texarkana, Texas, and a special friend Bea Traudt of Aurora.
