Funeral Services were held 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, January 28, 1998 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, Nebraska.
OBITUARY: Margaret Ewing
Margaret Bell Ewing, the daughter of Ralph and Flora (Allen) Crosby, was born at Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska, on February 4, 1901, and died at Omaha, Nebraska, on January 25, 1998, at the age of 96 years, 11 months, and 21 days.
The family moved to Albion in 1906, where she spent her childhood and completed High School. She then attended Kearney State College, and later graduated from the University of Nebraska. She taught school for 10 years, and then was an extension agent in 3 Nebraska Counties for 21 years.
On April 21, 1963, she was united in marriage to B. Harry Ewing, at Aurora. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1970. They lived in Aurora until they moved to Good Samaritan Village in Hastings in 1969. Following his death she returned to Aurora, and resided in the Hamilton Manor until moving to an Omaha care home.
She joined the Methodist Church at Albion at age 13, and has remained an interested and active member of the United Methodist Church, whereever she lived.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Albert and a sister Kathryn both in early life, and 2 step-sons Norval and Phillip Ewing, and a step-daughter Virginia Whetstone.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law Elaine Ewing; 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
