Minnie Fagan

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 6, 1993 at the United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Minnie Fagan

Minnie Ella Fagan, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Meyer) Weller, was born on a farm near St. Libory, Nebraska, on January 10, 1901, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 3, 1993, at the age of 91 years, 11 months, and 23 days.

She grew up on a farm near Palmer, Nebraska, and attended school district #58.

On April 14, 1921, she was united in marriage to Joe Fagan at Archer, Nebraska. To this union were born 3 children. The family lived north of Hampton, semi-retiring there in 1965. In 1975, they moved to Aurora and she moved to the Memorial Care Center following Joe’s death on February 20, 1988. She was making her home there at the time of her death.

Joe and Minnie celebrated their Golden Anniversary in 1971, and their 66th anniversary in 1987.

Minnie was a member of the Hampton United Lutheran Church, having joined April 20, 1930. She was active in the Church Guild and sang in the choir in earlier years. She was a member of the T & T neighborhood Club from it’s beginning.

Minnie will be sadly missed by those who remain to cherish her memory. Her daughter and son-in-law Joan and Keith Wert of York, son and daughter-in-law Larry and Karen Fagan of Hampton; 2 sisters, Lydia Wegner of Central City, and Ruth Ita of Grand Island, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, Ernest, Richard and Herman Weller, 3 sisters, Anna, Martha Wallace, and Mary Magnuson, and an infant son Dale Glade.
