Alice Farr

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 6, 1984 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Alice M. Farr

Alice M. Farr, the daughter of John and Hannah (Swan) Johnson, was born at Axtell, Nebraska, on April 25, 1902. Her death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 4, 1984, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 9 days.

She spent her childhood in Axtell and attended the public schools there. After graduation from high school she attended Kearney State College. Following graduation she taught public schools in Indianola and Kimball, Nebraska.

On June 22, 1934 she was united in marriage to Frank M. Farr at Axtell. They made their home in Paxton, Nebraska until 1934, when they moved to Aurora, where she has since resided. Her husband preceded her in death on August 8, 1983.

Mrs. Farr was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church where she was a regular in attendance, as long as her health permitted. She was a member and Past Matron of the Aurora Chapter No. 93 of the Order of the Eastern Star and was also a member of the Aurora Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Irvin Johnson and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Johnson, Mrs. Hattie Johnson and Mrs. Effie Ingram.

Her only survivors are two nephews, several grand nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews and other relatives and close friends.
