Irma FensterFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 11, 1995 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Irma Fenster Irma Irene Fenster, the daughter of John and Lida (Dance) Lemmons, was born on a farm northeast of Aurora, on July 9,l 1903, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 7, 1995, at the age of 91 years, 9 months, and 28 days. She attended school at District #19 and 56, and York Business School for 1 year. On December 24, 1923, she was united in marriage to Richard B. Fenster at Mankato, Kansas. They started housekeeping on Richard’s parent’s farm near Marquette, and lived there until the death of her father, when they moved back to the home place I 1954, where they resided the rest of their life. She was employed as a cook at the Marquette School. Irma attended the Methodist Church, and belonged to the ladies group of the Marquette Church, belonged to an extension club, and the PTA, when her children were in school. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Clyde Carnes, two grand daughters, and 2 great grandchildren. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard of Aurora; 3 sons, Wayne of Aurora, Dale and his wife Shirley of Grand Island, and Donald and his wife Terry of Casper, Wyoming; 2 daughters, Maxine Carnes of Aurora, and Doris Rasmussen and her husband Edgar of Marquette; 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. |
