Richard Fenster

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 1, 1998 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Richard Fenster

Richard Bruno Julius Fenster, the son of Jacob and Alvina (Kohtz) Fenster, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on March 6, 1900, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 29, 1998 at the age of 98 years, 5 months, and 23 days.

He grew up and attended Zion Lutheran School near Hampton, and later attended Marquette Public School.

On December 24, 1923, he was united in marriage to Irma Lemmons, at Mankato, Kansas. They started housekeeping on Richard’s parents farm near Marquette, and he also drove the Marquette school bus for several years. They lived there until the death of her father, when they moved back to the home place in 1954, where they farmed until they entered Memorial Community Care in Aurora. Irma preceded him in death on May 7, 1995. He entered Memorial Community Care on February 10, 1994.

He was preceded in death by his parents wife, one son Wayne, a sister, two granddaughters, one great grandson, and one great granddaughter.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his two sons Dale of Nampa, Idaho, and Donald of Casper, Wyoming; two daughters, Maxine Carnes of Aurora, and Doris Rasmussen of Marquette; 19 grandchldren, and several great grandchildren, and also a great great grandchildren.
