Wayne FensterFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 19, 1996 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Wayne Fenster Richard Wayne Fenster, the son of Richard and Irma (Lemmons) Fenster, was born at Marquette, Nebraska, on June 16, 1925, and died suddenly at his home, north of Aurora, Nebraska, on January 15, 1996, at the age of 70 years, 6 months, and 29 days. He grew up and received his education near Marquette, and graduated from Marquette High School in May of 1943. On November 23, 1943, he entered the United States Army, and served his country during World War 2, in the Pacific Theater in New Guinea. He was discharged on February 19, 1946. Following his discharge he returned to the family farm, where he lived the rest of his life, and was involved in commercial trucking. He cared for his parents on the farm, until they moved into a care home in Aurora. Wayne was a member of the Lester S. Harter Post #42, of the Aurora American Legion. He was preceded in death by his mother. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his father, Richard Fenster of Aurora; 2 brothers, Dale Fenster and his wife Shirley of Grand Island, and Donald Fenster and his wife Terry of Casper, Wyoming; 2 sisters, Maxine Carnes of Aurora, and Doris Rasmussen and her husband Edgar of Marquette; and many nieces and nephews. |
