Ann Ford
Ann Ford, 60, of Aurora, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 9th, at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Dr. F. Cole Fowler will officiate. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will greet friends from 5-7 P.M. Thursday at the Aurora United Methodist Church. OBITUARY: ANN FORD Ann Denison Remmenga Ford, the daughter of George and Jean (Whedon) Remmenga, was born in Beatrice, Nebraska, on December 27, 1949, and died in Aurora, Nebraska, on July 5, 2010, at the age of 60. Ann grew up in Clay Center and graduated from Clay Center High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, from which she received a Bachelor of Arts in English Education. After completing her degree, Ann worked as an University of Nebraska Laboratory Technician at both the Clay Center facility and the Lincoln campus. While working in Lincoln, Ann returned to the University of Nebraska and completed a Masters in Business Administration. Subsequently, Ann worked as an accountant in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Aurora, Nebraska. As committed as she was to her education and professional career, Ann was even more devoted to her family. Ann was married to Johny Joe Ford on November 24, 1989, in Clay Center. From that day forward, the couple had four daughters, which they loved, supported and cherished. Ann was a member of the A.A.U.W., and for many years served as the historian for the Remmenga Society. She was preceded in death by her mother. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joe Ford of Aurora; father, George Remmenga of Clay Center; four daughters, Jody (Craig) Craven of Kansas City, Missouri, Patti (Shane) Schutte of Malvern, Iowa, Brenda (Michael) Kemling of Farmington, Georgia, and Jennifer Ford of Kansas City, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Danielle Craven, Colton, Cameron and Caleb Schutte and Ilsa Kemling and three brothers, David (Nancy) Remmenga of McCook, Steve Remmenga of Whittier, California and Wade (Pat) Remmenga of Lincoln, and several nieces and nephews. |
