Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 9, 1993 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Irene Foreman

Stella Irene Foreman, the daughter of Peter and Minnie Jensen Wild, was born near Hampton, Nebraska on April 20, 1904, and died at Aurora, Nebraska on October 6, 1993, at the age of 89 years, 5 months, and 20 days.

She attended school in Wolbach, Nebraska, where her family had moved when she was 4 years old. She later moved to Greeley and then back to Aurora in 1915. Irene worked in Omaha as a housekeeper.

On October 25, 1941, she was united in marriage to John Wilbur Foreman at Rockport, Missouri. They spent their married life in Aurora where she was housekeeper for Dr. and Mrs. Edmund Steenburg until the doctor’s death, helping to raise their 5 children. Mr. Foreman preceded Irene in death on April 17, 1968.

Irene was a member of the First Christian Church in Aurora, where she was active in Christian Women’s Fellowship while her health permitted. She was a member of the WWI Barracks, and Rebekah Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 brother Harvey Wind, and 2 sisters Alice Dahlke and Marie Johnson.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her sister Ina Wind, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
