Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 31, 1993 at the Monroe Evangelical Free Church in Murphy. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Alice Forsman

Alice Elizabeth Forsman, the daughter of Gustaf and Kristin (Zavgren) Forsman, was born November 5, 1911, at Loup City, Nebraska, and died March 29, 1993, at Aurora, Nebraska, following a short bout with cancer, at the age of 81 years, 4 months, and 24 days.

In 1918, the family moved to Hamilton County, and she attended School District # 45, in Monroe Precinct. She helped her parents on the farm, and in 1950, they moved into Aurora.

Alice worked at the Aurora Hested’s Variety Store for many years, and for the last few years had worked at the Aurora Coast to Coast Store.

Much of her life was spent faithfully taking care of her parents.

She was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church, was pianist and a member of the Choir, and belonged to the WMS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Eric and Uno; 2 sisters, Bertha Forsman and Elsa Gustafson.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her brother, Ivan Forsman and his wife Allene of Aurora, 3 nephews and one niece, an many other close friends.
