OBITUARY: Paul Franz

Palul Franz, the son of Gerhard and Mary (Epp) Franz, was born in York County, Nebraska, on May 11, 1919, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 5, 1996, at the age of 76 years, 7 months, and 24 days.

He attended school in York County, and served his country during World War 2, from 1942, until his discharge in 1946. Following his discharge he worked on a farm in York County, and was employed at a farm implement company.

On March 15, 1952, he was united in marriage to Ingeborg Doerksen, at Henderson. They farmed for themselves on 3 different farms. In 1971, he began working for the Nebraska Department of Roads, and retired in 1981.

Paul was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church at Henderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Herbert and a sister Marie Huebert.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Ingeborg, of Aurora; one brother George of Henderson, and a sister Margaret Mierau of Henderson.
