Menno Friesen

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 8, 1986 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Menno Friesen

Menno R. Friesen, the son of John and Sarah (Ratzlaff) Friesen, was born at Henderson, Nebraska, on December 6, 1914, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 5, 1986, at the age of 71 years, 8 months, and 29 days.

He grew up and attended school at Henderson.

On August 9, 1936, he was united in marriage to Magda Andersen at Henderson.

He farmed near Aurora, and later farmed near Marquette, and then moved to their present home in Aurora. He worked for the ASC office for several years.

Menno was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Magda; 2 daughters, Mrs. Terry (Marlene) Engel of Richland, Nebraska and Mrs. Raymond (Donna) Larson, Jr. of Grand Island; 3 brothers, Herman of Fresno, California, Rudolph of Reedley, California and Silas of Lincoln; 2 sisters, Mary Baker of Stromsburg and Orpha Armstrong of Lincoln; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
