V. Reva Fuerstenberger
V. Reva Fuerstenberger, age 79, of Aurora, died April 15, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 21st at the Higby-McQuiston Mortuary Chapel in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Senior Center or to the family. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: REVA FUERSTENBERGER V. Reva Fuerstenberger, the daughter of Floyd L. and Eunice (Jensen) Larson, was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on September 24, 1927 and died in Grand Island, Nebraska on April 15, 2007, at the age of 79. She spent her early years in Cherry County. Her family lived for several years in Scottsbluff and Omaha, before returning to Gothenburg, where Reva graduated from Gothenburg High School. She had just attended her 60th Class Reunion last fall. Reva was united in marriage to Roy Fuerstenberger on October 17, 1966. They lived in Greeley, Colorado. Reva worked at Bennett Cleaners and several other dry cleaners, where she also did alterations. She spent a lot of time doing alteration work for the Greeley Police & Fire Departments and other service uniforms. Roy Fuerstenberger passed away on March 10, 1994. Reva moved to Aurora in May of 1999 to be nearer to her family. Reva was very active at the Senior Center and Crossroads Court activities. She was a member of the Covenant Church sewing circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Richard Hunter. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Fayne (Clint) Petersen of Marquette; two granddaughters, Tiffany Blehm of Golden, Colorado and Traci (Brandon) Blehm-Rochholz of Omaha; grandson, Kellen Petersen of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Cleta (Alfred) Alberts of Hampton; brother, Ralph Hunter of Mount Vernon, Washington; sister-in-law, June Fuerstenberger of Greeley, Colorado; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene (Terri) Fuerstenberger of Sacramento, California and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. |
