Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M. Monday, November 30, 1992 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Ruth Gage

Ruth Maxine Gage, the daughter of Fred and Esther (Swedberg) Weedin, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 22, 1920, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 26, 1992, at the age of 72 years, 8 months, and 4 days.

She grew up at Aurora, and graduated from Aurora High School with the class of 1938.

On July 6, 1946, she was united in marriage to Loynal Gage at Arkansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1960.

In 1940, Ruth moved to California, where she lived for 30 years, and for the past 20 of those years she worked as a retail clerk at Ralph’s Supermarket. In 1970, she returned to Aurora and cared for her mother until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, one brother Harlan “Bud” Weedin, and one niece Paula Utley.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her sister, Alice Matson of Aurora; one niece Jennifer Killion and her husband Ken of Marquette; a great niece, Amy O’Daniel and family of Bennington; and a great nephew Matt Weedin of Aurora.
