Willis GeorgeFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 24, 1984 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Willis George Willis Ernest George, the son of J.C. and Elizabeth (Nicholaus) George, was born March 2, 1913, at Hampton, Nebraska, and passed away August 21, 1984, at Aurora, Nebraska, at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 19 days. His early years were spent in the Hampton area, where he attended country school and later farmed with his father. On December 31, 1936, he was united in marriage to Camilla Lewis at Hampton. After marriage he began farming in the Aurora area, where he has farmed since 1936. Willis was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora, and was also a member of the Holstein Association, The Berkshire Association, and served 15 years on the Hamilton County Fair Board, and was president for 5 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Esther Hale, Frances Harter and Mildred Traudt; one brother Elmer George and 4 grandchildren. Those who survive to cherish his memory are his wife Camilla; one son Gene of Aurora; 3 daughters, Harriett Barron of Aurora, Evelyn May of Hampton and Bethel George of Aurora; one brother Edmond George of Hampton; sister, Ruth Wert of Aurora; 10 grandchildren and many other relatives, friends and business associates. |
