Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 16, 1995 at the Aurora Messiah Lutheran Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Kenneth Gerberding

Kenneth Harold Gerberding, the son of Harold and Inez (Weiss) Gerberding, was born at Deshler, Nebraska, on April 24, 1952, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 13, 1995, at the age of 43 years, 1 month, and 19 days.

He grew up and Deshler was educated at St. Peter Lutheran Parochial School, and graduated from Deshler Public School in 1970. He attended Fairbury Junior College and graduated from the University of Nebraska I 1976.

On July 30, 1977, he was united in marriage to Pamela Sue Schultz, at Ruskin, Nebraska, and they resided in Aurora.

“Gerb” moved to Aurora in 1976, and taught science in the Aurora Public School for 5 years. In 1982, he began working for Hamilton Telecommunication, as a central office technician.

He was a member of the Aurora Messiah Lutheran Church, and was a youth soccer coach.

He was preceded in death by his mother Inez Marie Gerberding, a niece Christina Inez Powers, and his grand parents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Pam of Aurora, his son Johnathon Lee at home, 2 sisters, Barbara Powers of Davenport, and Carol Hopken of Deshler, his father Harold of Deshler, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
