OBITUARY: Lyle Graves

Lyle Russell Graves, the son of Joseph and Julia (Pallano) Graves, was born at Oberlin, Kansas, on January 27, 1909, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 14, 1986 at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 7 days.

He grew up in Oberlin, Kansas and attended country schools and graduated from high school. Following his graduation he farmed with his parents.

Lyle lived in Aurora for a short time and worked for the City of Aurora. He then moved back to Oberlin, Kansas. In 1969 he moved back to Aurora where he worked at the Courthouse. He retired in 1974. In 1979 he moved to Crossroads Court in Aurora.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and son, Russell Graves.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his brother, Lawrence Graves of Grant, Nebraska; 2 grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Darlene Penner.
