Rodney Green

Rodney Green, age 55, of Phillips died Thursday, January 26, 2006, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 31st at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Richard Karohl will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: RODNEY GREEN

Rodney Wayne Green, the son of Harlan and Betty M. (Wagner) Green, was born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 3, 1950 and died in Phillips, Nebraska on January 26, 2006, at the age of 55.

He grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1968. Rodney served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1970. His first jobs included working at Smith Plumbing and as a salesman for Nebraska Builders.

Rodney was united in marriage to Teresa Spitz on December 23, 1987, at Grand Island. They bought and sold antiques and collectibles through flea markets, antique shows and estate sales. He especially enjoyed collecting Maytag memorabilia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Green, and grandparents.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Teresa Green of Phillips; daughter, Tiffany Green of Phillips; mother, Betty Green of Aurora; sister, Polly Green of Denver; niece, Kristi Wertz of Rock Spring, Wyoming; nephew, Travis Thelander of Aurora and aunts, uncles and friends.
