Anita Griffith

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 14, 1987 at Monroe Evangelical Free Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Anita Griffith

Anita Christine Griffith, the daughter of Frederck and Katherine (Fuhrman) Ackerman, was born at Grafton, Nebraska, on May 19, 1917, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 12, 1987, at the age of 70 years, 5 months, and 23 days.

She grew up in the Grafton area and graduated from Fairmont High School.

She was united in marriage to Donald Rhoads in July of 1936. He passed away on November 12, 1939. On August 2, 1941, she married Judson Griffith, at Sutton. They farmed northwest of Aurora. Judson preceded her in death on May 9, 1981.

Anita was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church, and was active in W.M.S. She was also very active in the Aurora Community Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and one sister and 5 brothers.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Gerald Rhoads of St. Paul, Delmer Griffith of Beatrice and Arnold Griffith of Plattsburg, Missouri. Three daughters, Donita Friesen of Aurora, Judith Haag of Norwood, Minnesota and Kathleen Newberg of Lincoln. One brother, Ed Ackerman of Fairmont and 15 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
