Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, August 10, 1995 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Ernestine Grigsby

Ernestine Christine Grigsby, the daughter of Fritz and Pauline (Doncheski) Butt, was born in Merrick County, Nebraska, on July 21, 1928, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 7, 1995, at the age of 67 years, and 16 days.

She grew up and received her education at Distric #50, in Merrick County. She then worked in the home for several people.

On June 7, 1952, she was united in marriage to Jerome “Bill” Grigsby, at Grand Island, Nebraska. After their marriage they lived on a farm north of Aurora.

“Ernie” was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and was active in the church circle. She had also belonged to an extension club.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerome “Bill” of Aurora; 3 daughters, Kathy Greving and her husband Greg of Chapman, Diane Sweeney and her husband Brad of Marquette, and Tammy Roberts and her husband Rob of Phillips; 2 brothers, Richard Butt and Roger Butt, both of Central City; 2 sisters Nadine Hilderbrand and Dorrine “Dee” Luebbe both of Central City; 7 grandchildren, Jeremy and Shane Greving, Dama, Tara, and Cody Sweeney, and Robbie and Ryan Roberts. Two aunts, Hanna Butt and Rose Blanchard, and other relatives and close friends.
