Helen GrigsbyFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 20, 1997 at the Aurora First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Helen Grigsby Helen Edna Grigsby, the daughter of Willard and Hulda (Brackhan) Travis, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 28, 1914, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 18, 1997, at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 20 days. She grew up and attended country school near Aurora. She lived with her parents, and in 1974, she moved into Larson’s Care Home in Aurora. In September of 1995, she entered Memorial Community Care at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Helen was a charter member of the Aurora First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Dale Hammons. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her daughter, Loretta Pederi of Toledo, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Floyd, Lloyd and Samuel Hammons III; and 6 great grandchildren. |
