Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 12, 1991 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Phillips Cemetery in Phillips, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Lorraine Grim

Mildred Lorraine Grim, the daughter of Joseph Frank and Iva Mae Muse, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska, on September 17, 1919, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 8, 1991, at the age of 71 years, 3 months, and 21 days.

She grew up in Grand Island, and graduated from Grand Island High School.

On September 17, 1939, she was united in marriage to Vernon Grim at Grand Island. After their marriage they lived in Phillips, and later moved to California, and in 1947, they returned to Phillips.

Lorraine had worked at the Grand Island Ordinance Plant, and Coleman Manufacturing in Grand Island. They also owned and operated the Snack Shack in Wood River from 1969 to 1979, and then they traveled a lot, going south for most winters, until the last few years.

They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 17, 1989. Lorraine enjoyed her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Vernon “Snooks” Grim of Phillips, one son Dan of Phillips, one daughter LaVonne Manka of Omaha; one sister Marie Miller of Lake Oswego, Oregon; 4 grandsons, Monte, Jeff, Scott, and Eric; and 3 great grandsons.
