OBITUARY: John Grosvenor, Jr.

John H. “Jack” Grosvenor, Jr., the son of John H. and Glorence (White) Grosvenor, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 28, 1909, and passed away on August 6, 1985 at the age of 76.

John grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1929. He graduated from Hastings College in 1936 and then attended the University of Nebraska Law School and graduated in 1937. John then practiced law in Washington D.C. He was then on the General Council of Public Debt in the U.S. Treasury Department.

John was united in marriage to Gladys Kemper.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the American Legion.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, George and sisters, Grace and Josephine.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his sisters, Hannah Grosvenor of Bradenton, Florida, Gertrude Matthew of Loup City and Ruth Bradford of Sarasota, Florida.
